Before You Visit

Everything you need to know about your Little Falu escape

Little Falu is designed as an intimate retreat perfect for couples or solo travellers. Due to its unique design and furnishings, we cannot accommodate children under eight.

As much as we love our furry friends, Little Falu is a strictly no-pet accommodation. It is not fenced, and the tiny home’s design is unsuitable for animals.

The sleeping area is in a cosy loft accessed by ladder-style stairs, featuring a comfortable queen bed with skylights above for stargazing. Please note that if you have mobility issues, the loft access may not be suitable for you.

We’re 15 minutes from Derby’s restaurants, cafes, and pubs. The nearest major supermarket (Woolworths) is 40 minutes away in Scottsdale. The closest pub and restaurant is a 10-minute drive to Winnaleah at the Winnaleah Hotel (open Wednesday through Saturday for dinner).

Mobile phone coverage is patchy, making this the perfect spot for a digital detox while staying connected when needed. Telstra is, however, the most reliable provider.

We have a full cupboard to the left of the bathroom entrance, where you can store your bags. If you have extra large suitcases, we suggest that you leave them in the car and bring in your essentials in an overnight bag.

Little Falu sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with just four friendly neighbours. While you have complete privacy in the house, you’re not totally isolated, offering the perfect balance of seclusion and security. All properties are at least a few hundred meters away from the tiny.

Being in a natural bush setting, you’ll likely encounter friendly wildlife, especially in the evening. While this adds to the experience, we ask that you don’t feed the animals and take care when driving at night.
